  • Morning sickness is a normal and common side effect of pregnancy
  • Rarely will your  baby be affected so try not to worry
  • ‘Morning’ is arbitrary and sickness can occur any time of day or night
  • If you can’t keep food or water down, see your midwife or doctor as soon as possible
  • Try to eat bland foods like pasta, jacket potatoes and toast
  • Avoid tight clothing
  • Stopping smoking will significantly help
